Hoshi Onsen

Many famous writers are noted to have visited this beautiful hot spring located in Joshinetsu Kogen National Park.
Hoshi Onsen hot spring is hidden within Joshinetsu Kogen National Park. The main building, constructed in the Meiji-era style, has a large public bath called “Hoshi Osamu Yu”. Many famous writers such as Akiko Yosano and Yasunari Kawabata visited these hot springs and even left their works here. In addition, the annex has been registered as a tangible cultural property of Japan. Come and enjoy a unique cultural experience at Hoshi Onsen!
